About Mrs. Johnson
I am excited to get the year started! I have taught at Quest 6 years, before Quest I was the AGATE leader for Vaughn Elementary. I taught 5th grade at Quest for four years and this will be my second year in third grade. I recently finished my Masters in Gifted and Talented Education and many lessons and projects that we do in class were developed in that program. This year I also earned Colorado Council of Teaching Mathematics award. Outside of school, I just had my first child, Matthew. My family enjoys sports and travel and I have had the privilege to see many countries across the globe. At home I read and play games with family and friends. I am looking forward to a great year!
Reminders:
- In regards to behavior, all students begin the day on green. If a student is misbehaving, after a warning, they will be moved to yellow, blue, and then finally red. If a student is ever on blue or red, you should expect a phone call or email from me.
- Homework is due the day after it is given, unless otherwise specified. If homework is not turned in on time, students will come in for recess to finish their work. This is true for all subject areas.
- All homework should be written down by the student on their agenda.
- There are projects that I will assign throughout the year that will challenge the students mentally and will take up time. I hope that you can be supportive of any homework/projects that are assigned as they are created to help our students reach their highest potential.
- I am available many days after school to help students with anything they need.
